Overview
Upparel is an upcycling metaverse where 1) customers/donaters and 2) brand owners/designers can meet up to fill in their needs. Normal users can donate their garments easily by taking picture of it and filling in the details. Brand related users can use AR swatch to easily try on the materials users donated. They can also cooperate environmental challenges together and take care of the virtual world's environment, fostering a sense of environmental importance.
My Role
Contributed to creating the whole service concept. Managed detailed ui where users interact with the objects. Prototyped major service scenes where users donate garments easily and brand owners create their own brand items using AR.

Prototype
As a front end developer & prototyper in this project, I mainly focused on 3 things: creating the metaverse environment using unity assets, implementing all ui as designed using Unity and last but not least, creating 2 AR scenes. First, customers can fill up their garment details using "image to text" when donating the clothing, and lastly, brand owners can use AR patches to their items being made.

1. Metaverse Environment
After searching for environment references, usally games, we started searching for useful unity assets that can help create the environment. With the assets ready, first sketched to find out how to place them and create the mood that we need for our game.







2. Implementing the Interfaces
As a developer in this project, I mostly focused on creating the UIs as detailed as the design being given. Participated in most of the interface design meetings and cooperated with the designers with organizing the main details to be discussed.

3- 1. Image to Text
Last but not least, more than just implementing the interfaces, we tried to create this specific scene where user goes through the series of actions to donate their apparel. The service reads text informations from users' garment tag images. Back-end developer created the fundamentals with Google cloud Vision API and chatGPT, I implemented reading the data that has been sorted with chatGPT and showing it on the screen.


3-2. Brand LAB & AR Swatch
Lastly, we tried to create a scene where upcycling brand users can find out the materials that users donated. From the materials listed, users can find out their details, use AR swatches to compare and try them on the items that they are currently designing.
